Our Mission – Birty Dird

We created Birty Dird because shopping for adult toys shouldn’t feel awkward, overly gendered, or overwhelming. Things are changing.
Sex tech is evolving. And we think it’s time for a store that reflects that shift. A place that feels comfortable for everyone, whether you’re brand new to this or know exactly what you’re looking for.

Birty Dird is an online-only store based in Wellington, Aotearoa-New Zealand, focused on offering a carefully chosen selection of sex machines, toys, and dolls. We keep our range tight and trusted. That means less decision fatigue and more confidence in what you’re buying. If it’s on our site, it means we’ve seen it, held it, and genuinely stand behind it.
Shopping online gives you the space to explore at your own pace. We add to that by keeping things simple, discreet, and honest. Orders ship direct from the manufacturer, costs are lower, it takes a little longer, but it’s worth it.
We started in early 2025 a small team (four of us, plus a few close partners at the factories who believe in this just as much as we do).

We’ll also be sharing regular blog posts about our own learning journey—the things we’re discovering, the stories behind the products, and some honest reflections on sexuality and curiosity.
